Today- have students choose their best peice of writing (pre-assessment for transition words).
Lesson- Teach using transitions for small moment writing.
Assess- choose another peice of writing for post assessment.
Hot list meeting-
Between now and hot list meeting- Discuss rubrics/expectations with students. Show examples of student work. Share 3's and 4's from pre-assessment, teach students how to choose their "best work". Incorporate transitions into math as well.
